Robert Ezie “Bob” Taylor, 70, of Milton, Kentucky, died on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at his residence in Milton, Trimble County, Kentucky. He was born on May 3, 1945 in Oberlin, Louisiana, the son of the late Ezie Taylor and Margaret Patrick Taylor. He was retired from Steel Tech as a Maintenance Electrician and he also enjoyed farming. He was a member of the Carrollton Masonic Lodge #134 F.A.M. and had served as Past Master. He also volunteered at the Kentucky Sheriff’s Boys and Girls Ranch. He proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.
Those left to cherish Bob’s memory include his two sons, Brian Taylor and wife, Sherry, of Turners Station, KY and Darren S. Taylor of Carrollton, KY; one brother, Ken Taylor and wife, Wylene, of Oberlin, LA; one sister, Marilyn Bocanegra and husband, Allen, of Royce City, TX; and three grandchildren, Bryan, Chasity and Trenton Taylor.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Ezie and Margaret Taylor.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home of Carrollton, KY. A second visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 11 a.m. until time of service at Allen Parish Funeral Home, 119 S. 7th Street, Oberlin, LA 70655. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. at Allen Parish Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Gilland and Rev. A. A. Haymon will officiate. Burial will follow in Durio Cemetery under the direction of Allen Parish Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bob’s memory to the Kentucky Sheriff’s Boys and Girls Ranch.
