Robert was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was devoted to his wife, Emily, for 55 years prior to her passing in 2014. He was an avid farmer and agriculturist and was a big supporter of the Allen Parish Livestock Association. In his spare time, Robert also loved mechanic work as well as carpentry work. In his later years he worked in the construction industry. He was a member of the Oberlin Lions Club where he served as president and was voted “Lion of the Year”. He also enjoyed hunting most anything from deer to hogs or squirrels along with fishing with his favorite buddies. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren Austin, Hailee, and Ericka. He would always lend a hand to anyone in need. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
