We want to tell you about the most wonderful mother, wife, and grandma anyone could ask for. She was a loving wife to Jack Dyer for 42 years. Hazel spent seventeen years employed by the Sheriff’s Office as a crossing guard for Oakdale Elementary. She loved every moment of that job and was proud of the work she did there. She helped raise six wonderful grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. Hazel lived a full life, full of love. We will miss her every day, but we know she is flying high with love ones. Say “hi” to everyone for us granny.
Those left to cherish Hazel’s memory include her son, John B. Dyer (J.B.) and her daughter, Dorothy Sue Dyer Stalsby.
Hazel is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ocie Stockman; husband, Jack Dyer; grandson, Brandon Luke Stalsby; three sisters, Maxine Stockman Doyal, Charlene Byrd Maricle, and Helen S. Maricle; and one brother, Odlie H. Stockman.
